The Most Important Thing You’ll Ever Do

The most important thing youll ever do

Most people float through life unconsciously. They feel completely out of control, being pushed from one situation to the next.

Few people ever take a stand and consciously decide what they want…

How do you want to spend your days – sitting in a cubicle mindlessly grinding through meaningless tasks, or driving passionately towards a goal of building something incredible?

Do you want to travel the world or make excuses why you'll never be able to do it?

Do you want to stay a slave to debt or flip compounding interest on its head and put it to work for you?

So, the most important thing you'll ever do is decide

Decide how you will spend your days, what epic journey's you'll take, and who you'll spend your time with.

There are so many important decisions to make, yet most people spend more time worrying about the latest Kardashian drama than thinking about what they want to do with their precious lives.

Let me make one thing clear – I'm not a hippy or self-help guru. I just believe that time is our most precious asset and shouldn't be wasted.

The main theme in my “top 30 life lessons” video below is all about how valuable time is…

My homeboy Benjamin Franklin said it best…

“Most people die at 25 and aren’t buried until they’re 75.”
― Benjamin Franklin

The majority of people talk themselves out of believing they can live according to their own desires. They convince themselves they're not worthy, don't have the abilities or resources, or that their current circumstances prohibit them from making changes.

How To Decide With Confidence

It's easy to find excuses why you can't make a conscious decision to better your life…

“I'm broke.”

“I work myself to the bone and have no free time.”

“I'm a high school dropout, and nobody will give me a shot.”

The list of excuses goes on and on…

But at the end of the day not a single outside force has an ounce of power over your ability to decide.

Think about it… Nobody can force you to think a certain way. Not a boss, spouse, or friend.

It's all up to you.

All you need to do is sit back and allow yourself to imagine what you truly want out of life without any restrictions or negative self-feedback. Play a movie full of all the incredible possibilities, and guard against any thoughts that try to creep in and tell you why it's not possible.

Why do this exercise of imagining what things would be like if you decided to chase your dreams?

Why not?

At the end of the day everyone makes a decision to either live a life of mediocrity, or to live according to your own design.

How Making A Simple Decision Changed My Life Forever

By the time I turned 21 I convinced myself that I was the king of the world. Little did I know it was my own ego keeping me from being fulfilled…

I built my first house when I was 19, and by 21 I was in cushy senior management role for a large mortgage company.

The only problem was that I was utterly depressed.

Every day I woke up, put on a suit, and sat in rush hour traffic for 45-90 minutes to get to my office.

I absolutely loathed starting my day slowly grinding down the highway with nothing but corporate bullshit waiting at my desk for the next 8-10 hours.

Then one day I couldn't take it anymore. While sitting in gridlocked traffic, I made a decision…

I realized that spending 2+ hours a day being pissed off in traffic was a drain on my soul, and I decided to put an end to that.

With no alternative options I quit my cushy six-figure corporate job to seek out a better way.

Soon after that I started trading the financial markets, investing in income producing assets, and building a business.

Within a few months I went from stressed out to fulfilled and on my way to building wealth on my own terms.

Now I get to work from anywhere in the world without having to sit in rush hour traffic. In fact, I've made money for myself from over 85 countries around the world. I don't say that to brag, just to show you that it's possible.

My goal with this post is to help you find the confidence to take an objective look at your life and ask, “Am I consciously or unconsciously deciding how I want to live my life?”.
