Today was my first day back trading the stock and e-mini futures markets since I arrived in Thailand a few days ago. It’s definitely refreshing to start with a successful day of trading stocks like IMMU and KERX, and e-minis like oil and the S&P 500.
The market opens at 8:30 PM in Thailand since we’re 12 hours ahead of my home in Austin, Texas. One of the biggest benefits is we have all day to scuba dive and explore the country. And since I’m typically done trading by 11 AM back home, I don’t have to stay up all night. The only challenge has been the jet lag, which hasn’t been too bad.
My wife and I successfully launched our new stock trading website, www.traderformula.com where we’re helping people use our day trading strategy for stocks. As many people know, Nikki is a “natural” trader. Her lack of ego and laser focus has helped her become a confident and consistent stock trader. She now wants to give back and help people get past all the smoke-and-mirrors in the trading industry.
Also, my trading partner Chris Henry is holding down the fort with Emini Academy students who are all loving the recent volatility in commodities like oil and gold. After a pretty fun summer trading season, the fall trading season is back in full swing!
Next Stops – Trader Meetup, and Scuba Diving!
My main goal for this Southeast Asia trading trip is to scuba dive some of the best spots in the world. I only have about 5 weeks in Asia until I head back to the US for the world-famous Formula 1 race, so I need to make the best of my time.
The plan is to quickly move south the island of Ko Tao, then west to the Phi Phi Islands, which are all supposed to have amazing scuba diving.
We’re also planning a trader meetup in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Aside from playing with tigers and trekking through the jungle, we’re going to have a few days of live trading. Email me directly if you’re in SE Asia and want to join – chris (at) chrisdunn (dot) com.
I’ve brought all my GoPro camera gear to hopefully get more amazing videos like this one from my Central America Scuba Diving Trip earlier this year:
